Stefan Hren from Germany spent over 2 months at Anaconda Lodge in 2022 and redesigned the previous Anaconda Lodge homepage using “Wordpress”.
His summary: “Many thanks to my colleagues, who made my work easier with the existing content and the great photos of the previous version, and I was able to adopt most of the content. Many thanks also to Wadee and Donald, who made an unforgettable stay at the Anaconda Lodge possible for me. It was a once in a lifetime experience with you guys. I will definitely come back again!”

Anaconda Lodge gets an outstanding review in Peruvian newspaper
We love Peru and the rainforest. In this report we collect the latest information about the lodge and give you an impression about it.
After a refreshing rainy season, Anaconda Lodge is back and doing better than ever!
From the beginning, owners Donald and Wadee strived to be a little different than the other great lodges in the area.
They place a very high priority on personalized service to their guests, with an added emphasis on the quality of the bungalows and Thai food.
The hard work to fulfill their dream seems to be paying off.
The well-known journalist Alvaro Rocha, mentions the Anaconda Lodge in his article in “Somos”, the weekly supplement of the largest Peruvian newspaper “El Comercio”.
The article begins with, “Wadee told me to please take off my shoes.” Later, as I lay by the swimming pool, which is well protected by the trees around it, I asked Wadee if I could jump in naked. Of course she answered, without hesitation.
Summing up positively, the journalist writes: “This place far exceeded my expectations. The bungalows are surrounded by tropical jungle vegetation and one of the strongest points is really the delicious food of the Thai and co-owner and cook Wadee. The hard work deserves the highest recognition.

Volunteering at the Lodge. We have decided to change the cost for volunteers who choose to work part-time, and offer volunteers who want to work full-time the opportunity to stay with us for free! The Austrian Josef Pichler and his wife Renate
Austrian Josef Pichler and his wife Renate were guests at Anaconda Lodge for a week. The two were on the road with their 990 KTM motorcycle on the Interoceanica. Josef made a film about this road and wrote the book: “Around the world on a motorcycle”.
They enjoyed their stay at Anaconda Lodge so much that they stayed for a week instead of the one night they had planned.
