Sandoval Lagoon
1 day – price: US $ 65
Because of its easy accessibility and special beauty, Sandoval Lagoon has become the most popular destination for tourists. Transfer to the port of Puerto Maldonado. By pueque-pueque motorboat 8 km downstream in about 25 minutes.
This is followed by a 1 1/2 hour walk through the Tambopata Reserve. Round trip by boat (without motor) on the Sandoval lagoon to observe turtles, hoatzins, herons, rails, macaws, kingfishers, cormorants and many other exotic birds and with luck monkeys, giant otters and caimans. Animals are protected in the reserve and fishing is prohibited. Lunch at the lake. Tour through the jungle and 1 1/2 hours back to Madre de Dios and by puque-pueque to Puerto Maldonado.
Lagoon Sandoval Tour

DAY 1
Arrival. Transfer from the airport to Anaconda Lodge. Lunch at the Thai restaurant of Anaconda Lodge. Guided tour of the botanical garden of Anaconda Lodge.
In the afternoon there is a possibility to visit the city (6 km, public transport) or the snake zoo. Dinner at Anaconda Lodge.
DAY 2
American breakfast. Transfer to the port of Puerto Maldonado. By peque-peque motorboat 8 km downstream in about 25 minutes. Followed by 1 1/2 hours walk through the Tambopata Reserve. DAY 1

DAY 2
American breakfast. Drive to the Madre de Dios River (45 minutes). Afterwards piranha fishing at the local fish farm with fishing line and net. The caught fish will be prepared in the evening at the lodge and can also be eaten by yourself. Kayak trip downstream on the Madre de Dios.
DAY 3
American breakfast. Transfer to the port of Puerto Maldonado. By Pueque-pueque motorboat 8 km downstream in about 25 minutes… Followed by 1 1/2 hours walk through the Tambopata Reserve.

The jungle river

Parrots Lick
Half day – Price: 120 Peruvian Soles
You will be picked up at 4:30 and leave for the parrot lick in 30 minutes. We observe from the lair and between 6 to 7:30 we can observe the following parrots: Black-eared Parrot, Rusty-crowned Parrot, Red-bellied Macaw, Black-fronted Parrot. Return to the lodge is at 8 am.

Canopy and Ziplining Adventure

Not recommended for couch potatoes! Climb a platform and cross a huge suspension bridge in the middle of the rainforest to feel like Tarzan, then zipline through the treetops.
Dojo for judo, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu and other disciplines
We have a beautiful dojo that is perfect for training judo, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, capoeira, yoga or martial arts. We welcome any martial arts instructor who would be willing to give one lesson per day. This person will receive a 20% discount on his/her lodge stay. (Aikido, Kung-Fu, Krav Maga and other self-defense techniques are also welcome).
The appropriate equipment for judo and kickboxing is available and can be rented for the whole day. The cost is 50 soles for judo or kickboxing equipment and 80 soles for all equipment. Private lessons in judo, kickboxing and jiu-jitsu are available at an additional cost of 40 soles, equipment not included in the price. For Jiu-Jitsu no equipment is necessary, only light sportswear.
Hammock Workshop
3 hours – Price: 100 Peruvian Soles
We show how to build your own hammock. The fast among you will manage to finish the hammock in just one day, beginners will need about 3 days. The cost of the workshop also covers the cost of materials.
